Additional Information
The response returned from the portal sharing REST API is expected. The version returned is the API version, which is different from the version of ArcGIS Enterprise.Workaround
The portal's administrator root endpoint includes the commonly used version number.
https://developers.arcgis.com/rest/enterprise-administration/portal/portal-administration-root.htm
However, accessing this endpoint requires administrative permission.
