Additional Information

This is a known limitation. The 'vector-MagDir' data is not displayed with VectorFieldRenderer on versions older than ArcGIS API for JavaScript 4.17. Currently, ArcGIS Server 10.9.1 uses ArcGIS API for JavaScript 4.14. Therefore, the ArcGIS API for JavaScript Viewer application from the REST endpoint of the service does not display VectorFieldRenderer.

Workaround

  • As a workaround, update ArcGIS API for JavaScript installed with ArcGIS Server from the services directory in the ArcGIS Server Administrator Directory. Refer to https://developers.arcgis.com/rest/enterprise-administration/server/handlersrestservicesdirectoryedit.htm.
  • Update the 'jsapi.arcgis' property to version 4.17 or higher. After the update, VectorFieldRenderer is displayed from the ArcGIS API for JavaScript Viewer application in the REST endpoint of the image service.
