ArcGIS 10.1 does not keep using the named user version inquired from ArcObjects code, but uses the saved version from the SDE connection file.

Additional Information

This issue has been fixed in 10.2.

Workaround

Setup the SDE connection file to use the correct transactional version before running the ArcObjects code.
