ArcCatalog does not display the updated projected coordinate system metadata of feature classes unless the Description tab is navigated to first.

This is expected behavior. The projected coordinate system is retrieved from the metadata. The metadata for the item needs to be updated before the information can be updated in the user interface (it is cached, not dynamic). Clicking the Description tab for the item syncs and updates the metadata in the display.Steps to Reproduce
