Additional Information

During an install with using an msp, occasionally the error “The patch is not applied to this product” will be displayed during the installation process. This is a message coming to the screen that is expected once the msp has done an uninstall so that it can install the files that it needs to. This is simply a message returned during a system check that helps the msp determine if it is ready to install the latest files. In this particular case please refer to the note in the introduction paragraph of the patch page: Note: The Windows setup for the Custom Basemap Extent Patch has been replaced with a B version, ArcGIS-1051-PFA-CBE-PatchB.exe. This exe will uninstall the previous version of the patch and then install the newer version with a fix to remove a conflict with the Patch Notification utility. If you installed the previous version of this Custom Basemap Extent Patch, please proceed with installing this latest version to avoid severe errors when using the Patch Notification Utility.
