An error message, "ERR_TUNNEL_CONNECTION_FAILED" is returned when signing in to the ArcGIS Survey123 field app after removing a previous Portal for ArcGIS connection that utilized SAML authentication.

Workaround

For iOS:

  • Uninstall, then re-install the ArcGIS Survey123 field app.

For Android:

  • Delete the following JSON file:
    • \sdcard\ArcGIS\AppStudio\Settings\1b899f24e9354a459a2ab2ed4cc8e8d7.json
    • Note: This location varies between Android devices.

For Windows

  • Delete the following JSON file:
    • C:\Users\<username>\ArcGIS\AppStudio\Settings\1b899f24e9354a459a2ab2ed4cc8e8d7.json

The 1b899f24e9354a459a2ab2ed4cc8e8d7.json file is the settings file for the ArcGIS Survey123 field app. Once it is deleted, it resets the ArcGIS Survey123 application.
