An additional SRID record is inserted into the SDE_SPATIAL_REFERENCES table, where the 'zcluster_tol' and 'mcluster_tol' columns have a value of 2, when the 'Feature Class to Feature Class' Tool is used and the GEOMETRY keyword is specified.

Workaround

Use Copy/Paste method instead of “Feature Class to Feature Class” tool when loading existing ArcSDE Feature Classes into an ArcSDE 9.3 SP 1 / SQL Server 2008 instance stored with the GEOMETRY storage keyword.
