Additional Information

In ArcGIS Pro 3.0, changes are expected with respect to online resources when metadata is exported to a standard format. In some cases online resources will be present where they were not present before, and in other cases, online resources will be absent in exported documents when they would previously have been included. In ArcGIS Pro 2.9.x and earlier versions, online locations are inconsistently filtered in different places throughout the metadata document. In some cases any URL is exported. In other cases, only locations beginning with http or ftp would be included in the output and locations beginning with https is not be included. Opinions regarding internet security have changed over the years, so locations beginning with http and ftp are now excluded from metadata output. Throughout the metadata document, locations are now consistently filtered to only include https (or capitalized HTTPS) locations in exported documents. This change is not necessarily disruptive and offers more information in the metadata than existed in the metadata from previous versions, but is not expected with the metadata standard.
