Additional Information

This is not something the Enterprise Sites product team can address at this time. In ArcGIS Enterprise 10.8, the Enterprise Sites added the ability to upload images directly from the Sites application, removing the need to upload images via ArcGIS Enterprise. Sites retains the images, but once the edit pencil is clicked the new image handling is referenced which breaks the link to the original image. Our recommendation is to back up existing site resources before upgrading from pre ArcGIS Enterprise 10.8 sites.

Workaround

1. Go to C:\arcgisportal\content\items\<Site ID>\resources.

2. Copy all files except theme.json.

3. Go to C:\arcgisportal\content\items\<Page ID>\resources.

4. If \resources folder does not exist, then create it.

5. Paste items.

6. Refresh broken Page(s).
