Bug

After selecting an editable layer in the Map widget using the Edit widget, non-editable tile (or image) map services are allowed to be highlighted in the ArcGIS Experience Builder. Then a [Map Service Name]-highlight layer is added to the Edit widget.

Additional Information

There is a flicker in the Editor where the blue polygon template still appears and disappears very quickly the first time a polygon is clicked in the app. This is believed to not affect any workflows. The team is aware of this remaining issue, which requires extra backend work. This is to be polished for the next update.

Workaround

Analysis from the ArcGIS Experience Builder team:

Reason: If the WebMap contains a MapImageLayer (the url ends with MapServer), the FeatureLayer in its sublayers cannot be highlighted, so JimuLayerView creates a FeatureLayer for it and adds it to the Map, which causes it to be displayed in the Edit widget.

Solution: The Edit widget can read layer.listMode. If the value is 'hide', the Edit widget is not supposed to show it.
