After adding a new type of feature to the feature template, features can be created without filling in all required fields.

After adding the new values to the feature template, set the symbology to 'Show location only', and set the symbology back to display the field used for the feature template.

To make a field required, add a new field in Map Viewer.

1. Create a form for the layer in Map Viewer.
2. Set the new field to be required in the Logic section in Form Builder.
3. Save the form and map.
