Additional Information
When adding a sublayer from a map image layer, the sublayer is treated as a feature layer because the exportImage method cannot be used on the layer. Map Viewer supports complex symbology published to a feature layer, but the complex symbology is stored at the web map and layer item level.Workaround
- Place a simple symbology as a single color.
- Open the web map directly where the web image layers are located for the symbology to be displayed correctly. The behavior only occurs when adding them with a URL.
