Additional Information

To choose a NAS device for an ArcGIS Server, NFS shares must be configured to ensure consistent reads and avoid using stale data caches. This is a known limitation for ArcGIS GIS Server to require immediate consistency for the data share. Workaround

Publish with the 'Start service immediately' option unchecked. This publishes the service in a stopped state. The service can then be started manually in ArcGIS Desktop or ArcGIS Server Manager.ORCreate a service definition, and then manually upload it to ArcGIS Server Manager.
