A script run from the Task Scheduler with the setting, ‘run whether user is logged on or not’ fails to initialize ArcPy when a single-use license is used.

Ran against 10.5 and it worked. If memory serves this was addressed in or around the 10.2 time frame.Workaround
Workaround 1: In ArcGIS for Desktop 10.0, use a concurrent use license for ArcGIS. Workaround 2: Schedule task to ‘run with highest privileges’. This may require increased user privileges, which may not be acceptable in some organizations.
