A raster dataset created by the Mosaic To New Raster tool fails to start in ArcGIS for Server 10.2 when the new raster output location is an ArcSDE geodatabase in DB2.

Workaround

  1. Run the Mosaic to New Raster tool.
  2. Specify the output result to a file geodatabase.
  3. Publish the dataset to ArcGIS for Server.
