A map service published with a definition query on geometry fields such as Shape.STArea() and Shape.STLength() fail to render in ArcGIS Server 10.5.

Not reproducible any longer.Workaround
There are no issues when working with a file geodatabase. Change the definition query so that the word 'SHAPE' is in brackets. For example, change the definition query 'SHAPE.STArea() > 500000' to '[SHAPE].STArea() > 500000'.Steps to Reproduce
