Additional Information

The EPS file format does not support transparency. If the exported content contains transparency, it is rasterized to maintain its appearance. This is by design, as the file format’s limitations cannot be bypassed. Removing all transparency from the map retains it as a vector in the EPS export.

Workaround

  • Export the layout in the SVG file format. When opened in an editing program like Adobe Illustrator, the map frame contents are vectorized when possible, and elements remain separated.
  • If exporting in the EPS file format, removing all transparency from the map preserves it as a vector.
