Note that ArcGIS 10.8.2 is the current release of ArcGIS Desktop and will enter Mature Support in March 2024 (https://support.esri.com/en-us/products/arcmap/life-cycle). There are no plans to release an ArcGIS Desktop 10.9, and we recommend that you migrate to ArcGIS Pro. - Close and reopen the attribute table.
- Save the map document and close it.
- Relaunch the .mxd file. The missing attributes are displayed.
- In the Catalog pane, search the folder location for the shapefile, and open the shapefile properties.
- Go to the Indexes tab and click Update.
- Export the shapefile to a new shapefile. The missing attributes are retrieved.
