Bug

A feature class (with XY coordinates) has two or more points at the same locations. Join the feature class to a data table and create an event theme. ArcMap crashes right after selecting Kriging and using Mean to handle the coincidental samples in Geostatistical wizard.

Additional Information

is fixed in 10.1 and also in 10sp1 (using CR163124)

Workaround

Export the event theme to a feature class. Then run Kriging and select Use Mean in Geostatistical Wizard.
