Additional Information

When a feature class using the double data type is created from ArcMap 10.8.2 in an enterprise geodatabase, the default values for precision and scale are set to 38 and 8, rather than zero. ArcGIS Pro does not alter these values either. When a feature class with a double data type is created in ArcGIS Pro 3.4, the default precision and scale values are set to 7 and 1. This behavior is documented in the ArcGIS field data types resource page, under the section 'Precision and scale in a database or enterprise geodatabase'.
