This is not a reproducible bug. In the arcade example provided, using an explicit return with nothing after it returns null. Refer to https://developers.arcgis.com/arcade/guide/return/ for more information.Workaround
When a value of a field is the same in a calculated expression and needs to be kept, return an $originalFeature attribute value or $feature attribute value rather than an explicit return with nothing after it.
