The Add Join tool fails and returns the error message, "Error 999999" when joining a CSV file to a feature class or shapefile if the Index Joined Fields check box is checked.

This issue is addressed in ArcGIS Pro 3.2.Workaround
Uncheck the Index Joined Fields check box before joining the CSV file.
