This issue is addressed in ArcGIS Pro 3.2. This is as designed. Additional parameters are needed for the dynamic text tags metadata display purposes. Layouts can have metadata as well as maps, and a layout can have map frames pointing to multiple maps. Because of this, additional parameters are needed to display the correct information. To display metadata for the layout, the parameter layout is needed instead of the property. Here is an example of the tags for displaying the metadata title of the layout: . To display metadata for a map, parameters for the element type (map frame) and the map frame name are needed. This is an example of tags for displaying the metadata title for a map frame named 'Map Frame': . The tags can be added automatically by selecting the Layout or Map metadata options from the Dynamic Text drop-down on the Insert tab when the layout view is selected.
