HOW TO

Verwenden von Drone2Map v2022.1 (und höher) mit ArcGIS Enterprise 10.9 und früheren Versionen

Last Published: March 14, 2024

Zusammenfassung

This technical article is provided for organizations using ArcGIS Enterprise 10.9 or earlier and who are seeking to license and use ArcGIS Drone2Map v2022.1 or later.

The licensing in ArcGIS Drone2Map v2022.1 was changed from the previous version, v2.3.2. The new licensing is supported in ArcGIS Enterprise version 10.9.1, but cannot be back-ported to older versions. Organizations that need to license ArcGIS Drone2Map v2022.1 via ArcGIS Enterprise are requested to install a limited, standalone version of ArcGIS Enterprise 10.9.1. See Task 1 below.

Note:
If users do not need to provision licenses through ArcGIS Enterprise, for example the organization does this via ArcGIS Online, Task 1 is not required.

After licensing ArcGIS Drone2Map v2022.1, using ArcGIS Drone2Map with ArcGIS Enterprise may require additional steps.

  • If users do not need to connect ArcGIS Drone2Map directly to the operational Enterprise, no further configuration is required.
  • Note that you may publish data to ArcGSI Enterprise using ArcGIS Pro or the Enterprise portal home app.
  • If users need to connect ArcGIS Drone2Map to the operational Enterprise, for example, to load data layers published by your organization, see Tasks 2 and 3 below.

The three major tasks are as follows:

Task 1: Installation and licensing Portal for ArcGIS 10.9.1 and License Manager 2022.0 (or later versions) to support licensing of ArcGIS Drone2Map 2022.1. This must be hosted on a computer separate from the organization’s operational Enterprise at version 10.9 or earlier.

Task 2: Addition of the Drone2Map 2022.1 App ID into older versions of ArcGIS Enterprise to enable users of Drone2Map to authenticate and connect to Enterprise. This is for access to basemaps, display of image and feature services hosted by the organization within Drone2Map, and publishing of results from Drone2Map.

Task 3: Deletion of the ArcGIS Drone2Map items from the Enterprise instance before upgrading ArcGIS Enterprise to 10.9.1

Note that the single Drone2Map license has been expanded to include a Standard and Advanced license.

  • ArcGIS Drone2Map – License for 2.3.3 and lower
  • ArcGIS Drone2Map Standard – License for 2022.1 and above
  • ArcGIS Drone2Map Advanced – License for 2022.1 and above

Vorgehensweise

Task 1: Install and license Portal for ArcGIS 10.9.1 (or later version) and License Manager 2021.0 (or later) to support ArcGIS Drone2Map 2022.1

  1. Review the Portal for ArcGIS 10.9.1 installation guide and ensure your system meets the minimum requirements. Refer to ArcGIS Enterprise: Welcome to the Portal for ArcGIS (Windows) installation guide for more information.
  2. Install Portal for ArcGIS 10.9.1. Refer to ArcGIS Enterprise: Installing Portal for ArcGIS for instructions.
  3. Once the installation is complete, create a new portal site. Refer to ArcGIS Enterprise: Create a single machine portal for instructions.
    • Customers must have a Portal for ArcGIS 10.9.1 license file (.json) that includes at least one user type with full capabilities within the Organization (i.e., Creator user type), and at least one add-on ArcGIS Drone2Map Standard or Advanced license. When generating this file from My Esri, customers must enter the machine name and MAC address for the machine hosting the Enterprise portal’s License Manager.
  4. Optionally, install an ArcGIS Web Adaptor and configure it for use with your Enterprise portal.
    • This step is optional. It is not required to license ArcGIS Drone2Map but your organization’s administrator may have other requirements to use a web adaptor.
  5. Log in to the Enterprise portal site as the Primary Site Administrator (PSA) used to create the site. If the PSA is the account used to license ArcGIS Drone2Map 2022.1, assign this member the ArcGIS Drone2Map Standard or Advanced license. Refer to Portal for ArcGIS: Manage licenses. If another member is the account used to license ArcGIS Drone2Map 2022.1, then add this member to the organization and assign the member the appropriate ArcGIS Drone2Map license.
  6. Install ArcGIS License Manager 2022.0. Refer to License Manager Guide: License manager installation and startup for instructions.
  7. Authorize ArcGIS License Manager 2022.0 with the same Portal for ArcGIS license file (.json) imported into the Enterprise portal.
  8. Instructions for ArcGIS Drone2Map users:
    1. In ArcGIS Drone2Map v2022.1, click the Project tab and select Portals > Add Portal.
  1. Add the portal URL for the 10.9.1 standalone version of ArcGIS Enterprise.
  2. Select Licensing and enable the Authorize Drone2Map to work offline check box and click Configure your licensing options.
  1. In the pop-up, select the 10.9.1 standalone version of ArcGIS Enterprise.

These instructions enable user(s) to connect one time to ArcGIS Enterprise 10.9.1 to license ArcGIS Drone2Map, and then if the license is “offline”, the ArcGIS Enterprise 10.9.1 may be shut down. The offline license remains valid until the annual expiration date.

Task 2: Support using ArcGIS Drone2Map 2022.1 in older versions of ArcGIS Enterprise

This involves adding and updating two different registered app items in the older version of ArcGIS Enterprise. To make things simpler, the steps are separated below.

Add ArcGIS Drone2Map Portal Item 1:

  1. Add the app item:
    1. Log into the ArcGIS Portal Directory sharing application as an administrator.
    2. Navigate to the users account page, user items, then under supported operations choose Add Item.
    3. In Add Item form, enter the following and add the item:
      • Title: ArcGIS Drone2Map
      • Type: Mobile Application
      • Type Keywords: ArcGIS for iPhone, ArcGIS Mobile Map, Mobile Application, Ready To Use, Registered App
      • Tags: drone
    4. Under supported operations, click Share Item and share the item with everyone.
  2. Register the app item:
    1. In the user item page, select and copy the item ID.
    2. Under related operations, click registered app.
    3. On the registered app page, enter the following:
      • Item ID: the id copied from earlier
      • App type: select multiple
      • Redirect URIs: Enter ["urn:ietf:wg:oauth:2.0:oob","arcgis-d2m://auth/"]
    4. Copy the App ID on the registered app page for use in the next section.
  3. Change the App ID:
    1. Open the ArcGIS Portal Directory admin application and login as an administrator.
    2. Navigate to Home > Security > OAuth >  Change App ID.
    3. On the Change App ID page enter and submit the following:
      • Current app ID: app ID from earlier step
      • New app ID: arcgisd2m

Add ArcGIS Drone2Map item 2:

  1. Add the app item:
    1. Log into the ArcGIS Portal Directory sharing application as an administrator.
    2. Navigate to the users account page and under supported operations, and click Add Item.
    3. In the Add Item form, enter the following and add the item:

      • Redirect URIs: Enter ["https://.arcgis.com","http://.arcgis.com","urn:ietf:wg:oauth:2.0:oob","arcgis-d2m://auth/"]
      • New app ID: arcgisd2mdesktop

Using ArcGIS Drone2Map:

Once the above steps are complete, ArcGIS Drone2Map is now usable, presuming the Portal is configured for the earlier version of ArcGIS Drone2Map. If not, refer to Portal for ArcGIS: An introduction to licensing apps through your portal for licensing premium apps, and refer to Portal for ArcGIS: Configure ArcGIS Drone2Map licenses for connecting to Portal.

Task 3: Delete the ArcGIS Drone2Map items before upgrading to 10.9.1.

Note:
For organizations that follow Task 2, Task 3 includes very important steps that must be followed before upgrading to 10.9.1 (or any later Enterprise version):
  1. Log in to the ArcGIS Portal Directory sharing application as the administrator who owns the ArcGIS Drone2Map items.
  2. Navigate to your users account page and under related resources select User Content.
  3. Select the ArcGIS Drone2Map item from the item list.
  4. On the item’s page under supported operations click Delete Item and delete the item.
  5. Repeat this for the other ArcGIS Drone2Map items.
Note:
If the ArcGIS Drone2Map items are not deleted from the portal content, attempts to upgrade to ArcGIS Enterprise 10.9.1 or later fail.
