Workaround

Save the MXD file to a folder stored in the internal hard disk drive instead of saving to the root.

When saving a MXD file directly to the root of an internal hard disk drive, clicking the Go To Home Folder from within the Catalog or Add Data window does not redirect to the Home folder.
