When opening Microsoft Excel, the data type changes for some fields in the .txt or .csv file generated using the 'Export Feature Attribute To ASCII' tool in ArcGIS Pro.

Workaround

There are two workarounds:

• .In ArcGIS Pro, right-click the data from the Table Of Contents. Click Data > Export Table. Choose the output location to be a folder, give a ‘.txt’ extension after the output file name, and use this file to open in Microsoft Excel. 
• In Microsoft Excel, click File > Open > Browse. Select the .txt document and click Open. The ‘Text Import Wizard’ dialog box opens. Click Next > Choose Comma to be the Delimiter, click Next, and Finish.
