When creating a new self-intersecting 'Centerline' feature, the auto-densification process creates multi-part 'Centerline' features in certain cases.

Workaround

Following the use of the End Point Arc tool, prior to drawing the self-intersecting portion of the feature, use the 'Continue Feature tool' to create the intersecting portion of the feature using the Straight Segment tool.
