When an ArcIMS server is temporarily unavailable for some reason, the situation can arise when ArcMap incorrectly prompts users to login to the server when they open a map that references services on that server. ---- From: Ginger McKay Sent: Tuesday, July 15, 2008 1:26 PM To: Rupert Essinger; Sarah Osborne; Joseph Beard; opssupport@esri.com Cc: Satish Malipeddi; Tom Bole; Deane Kensok; Laurie Fitzpatrick Subject: RE: Geography Network problems We’re aware that there’s a problem accessing GN services and the technical team is looking into it. I’ve had 3 reports of the problem from users via GN Feedback today. All received a username/password prompt when trying to access GN services.
