When adding a text element in a layout view within ArcGIS Pro, the entire text box is affected by the right alignment, center alignment, and left alignment position setting within the text symbol properties instead of just affecting the text within the text box boundary.

Workaround

• Option 1: Move the text box around with guides on layouts within ArcGIS Pro. Move the text element manually to align the text within the layout.
• Option 2: Use the dynamic text option which automatically places the text element in the center, right or left of the layout.
