Bug
When a two-way sync is disabled in a distributed collaboration between ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise, the ArcGIS Portal Administrator logs return the warning level message, "Feature layer does not support bidirectional sync and will be shared as a copy supporting one-way sharing of edits."

Workaround
The error message does not appear if the layers in the feature service have replica tracking enabled. However, since the workspace does not have bi-directional sync turned on, it does not receive the error messages.
