Using ArcCatalog to restore a SQL Server Express geodatabase with a full-text catalog will not work correctly if the location of the original full-text catalog is not accessible.

Workaround

There are two possible workarounds:1 - create the same folder structure that the original files were created in - the full-text catalogs will be restored correctly to this location2 - use Management Studio to restore the database, pointing each file to the correct restore location.
