Upgrading some Samsung Android devices to Android OS version 7.x does not allow users to open an existing web map unless a factory reset is performed on the device and Collector for ArcGIS is reinstalled.

Collector for ArcGIS (Classic) is retired and no longer being updated.Workaround
As a workaround, perform a factory reset on the device. However, this is not ideal if using offline maps. Alternatively, remove the 'ArcGIS_Collector' folder from the Android tablet and reinstall Collector for ArcGIS. Refer to the steps are outlined below:- Connect the Android tablet to a PC via the USB cable. Make sure Collector for ArcGIS is closed.
- Using Windows Explorer on the PC, navigate to the tablet and locate the ArcGIS_Collector folder.
- Cut and paste the folder onto the desktop.
- On the device, uninstall and reinstall Collector for ArcGIS. A new ArcGIS_Collector folder is created on the device.
- Launch Collector for ArcGIS and access the free maps via ‘Try Collector for ArcGIS’.
- Attempt to open the ‘GNSS Capture’ map. Check if the basemap loads. If it does, log in and open the map and download it.
