Updating the item details of a shapefile item in ArcGIS Online records the same date for 'Info Updated' and 'Data Updated' in ArcGIS Hub even though data is not updated.

The level of granularity may not be applicable to shapefiles and the ability to allow configuration of the displayed metadata is being considered.

Workaround

Manually set the resource updated date in the formal metadata of the item if the underlying shapefile data does not change regularly.
