Updating the feature edits for an embedded credential feature service using ArcGIS REST JS returns a 504 timeout error.

A server returning a 504 timeout error is not the result of a bug in ArcGIS REST JS. BUG-000114163, BUG-000140115, and BUG-000114230 also return timeout errors with other services through proxies. The most likely cause of this is limited server resources to process multiple concurrent edits. The reason this works in Postman is most likely due to the smallest of delays because Postman only sends one request at a time while looping or the delay between sending one request and typing in the next one and hitting send.Workaround
Send a single bulk update for the server to process efficiently. Alternatively, delay each result until the previous one finishes, or allocate more resources to the server.
