This behavior is as designed. Edit actions in Tasks layouts will always respect the validation and calculated expressions configured on a form. Conditional required fields can be used to customize workflows to account for different task statuses.Workaround
When configuring the form, a condition can be set on required fields such that they are only required when certain other field values are true. In this example, setting the Description field to only be required when the Status is completed will allow a user to pick up and begin a task, but they cannot use the Finish button to move it to Completed until a description has been provided.Schritte zur Reproduzierung
