Unable to generate the zip file of a geodatabase using the shutil (shell utilities) Python script in IDLE (integrated development environment) with ArcGIS Pro.

Workaround

Use the Clear Workspace Cache tool before attempting to make the zip archive, which will remove the schema locks from the geodatabase. Refer to https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/tool-reference/data-management/clear-workspace-cache.htm for more information.
