The Project (Data Management) tool results in missing features when projecting a shapefile containing multipart polygons that have particular geometries to an enterprise geodatabase.

Workaround

Run the Multipart To Singlepart tool to remove multipart features from the shapefile, and project to the enterprise geodatabase.
