This extent behavior only occurs when adding a single location point to a map tour. We recommend using other story elements (like an inline express map or a map within a sidecar) when creating a map with a single point location.Workaround
To use a map highlighting a single point with a custom extent, use an express map with the added location and set the map's extent in the express map editor.
