The error message, “arcgisscripting.ExecuteError: Execute(): Object reference not set to an instance of an object” is returned when attempting to run ArcGIS Full Motion Video 1.4.2 tools in a stand-alone Python 2.7 script.

Workaround

  • Use the immediate Python window to run the tools.
  • Use ArcGIS Pro to check the Image Analyst extension in the Python script.
