The Close (x) button is not displayed in the Feature Edit dialog box of a hosted feature service when a field with the Allow Null Values option enabled is added.

This issue is not addressed in ArcGIS Enterprise 10.8.1 given that there is a functioning workaround. The workflow also works correctly as of ArcGIS Enterprise 10.9 and later versions.

Workaround

Fill in the required field, and click the Close (x) button of the dialog box.
