The 'Automatically convert the CAD file to a set of geodatabase feature classes' option does not work in ArcGIS Pro.

Workaround

1. Add a new Map Viewer, and remove the previous one.

2. Add the layers present in the .dwg file dataset one by one.

3. Refresh the project folder.

4. Expand the project folder.

5. Expand the geodatabase.

The layers are automatically converted to feature layers in the project geodatabase.
