To turn off the Overrun setting, it must be set to 0 pts. The default is 80 pts. This is different from ArcMap of unchecking a checkbox to turn it off. 1. On the Label class pane, click the Position tab, and click the Fitting strategies tab. 2. Expand the Overrun expander. 3. Set 'Maximum' to 0.
