Schema locks are not being released once a feature layer is removed from ArcMap and attempted to be deleted from ArcCatalog.

The only way to release the lock, is to exit out of the ArcMap session completely in order to delete the feature class from the geodatabase in ArcCatalog.Schritte zur Reproduzierung
