Raster disappears after setting a custom extent based on a different data frame spatial reference from the raster's projection.

Workaround

1. Add raster to an ArcMap session and set a custom extent based on the native State Plane projection.2. Change the projection of the data frame to the appropriate projection.( NAD_1983_UTM_Zone_12N in this case). Notice the raster disappears.3. Reset the raster extent to default (the raster re-appeared)4. Set a custom extent using UTM coordinates.
