Use the following url example to search the ArcGIS Portal Directory with the updated Sharing API: https://host.domain.com/portal/sharing/rest/search . Both the "orgid" and "accountid" item fields should work in this search context.

Workaround

Use the 'accountid' field instead of 'orgid' to query on Portal for ArcGIS sharing API.
