Large images pulled from the source URL in a classic Esri Story Maps to the new ArcGIS Story Maps does not display on iOS devices.

This issue will not be addressed. It is not a good practice to reuse image resources from one story to another story, nor should it be expected that image URLs found using developer tools will work as linked images in other stories. It is recommended that images be either uploaded directly to the story in which they are needed or stored in on-premises or 3rd party web/cloud storage that enables direct access to the image via a URL so they can be added as linked images.Workaround
Manually download the large images to the desktop and upload them to ArcGIS Story Maps.
