In ArcGIS Pro, running the Add Global IDs geoprocessing tool when attempting to add a Global ID field to a feature class stored in a file geodatabase while the feature class is in the Contents pane, does not create the field.

Duplicate of BUG-000087234:The tool will add the GlobalId field to the table, but does not display the attribute table or fields view until ArcGIS Pro is closed and reopened.

Workaround

Run the Add Global IDs geoprocessing tool while the feature class is not stored in the map or Contents list.
