If the print task from ArcGIS Online Map Viewer (or ArcGIS Experience Builder) takes longer than 2 minutes, the print task shows as failed.

Workaround

• Zoom in to a smaller extent before printing.
• Simplify the features.
• Simplify the symbology
• For maps containing multiple layers, turn off certain layers and/or ensure layers only turn on within an appropriate scale range.
• Configure ArcGIS Online with an asynchronous ArcGIS Server print service.
• Create and share custom layouts to ArcGIS Online. Custom layouts make asynchronous requests to the ArcGIS Online print service, which times out after 5 minutes.
