If an ArcIMS Service is added to an unprojected data frame in ArcMap, the maps do not show up.

If the map already contains a layer with no spatial reference and the data frame is in an unknown corrdinate system you should set a known coordinate system in the data frame properties (use the Coordinate Systems tab). In order for the features of the layer with no known spatial reference to line up properly with the service layer (or with other layers) yoiu should apply an appropriate spatial reference to the shapefile.Schritte zur Reproduzierung
