Bug
Editing is not allowed and a warning to check permissions appear when attempting to edit a point feature class after previously editing and running a Buffer tool on it within the same session, where the attribute table is open and Background Processing is enabled.

There are no plans to release an ArcGIS Desktop 10.9, and we recommend that you migrate to ArcGIS Pro. - Use ArcGIS Pro.
- Export the feature class to a new feature class or reopening the .mxd will resolve the issue.
